The science, simply

How our process works.

Ozone is nature's sanitizer. Here's how we use it to make gear fresh, without a drop of detergent.

Fresh Gear ozone cycle running
Why ozone

The clean that chemicals can't reach.

Ozone (O₃)

Made from the air around us.

Attacks germs

Oxidizes bacteria & viruses.

Destroys odor

At the source, never masked.

Back to oxygen

No chemicals, no residue.

  • 3,000×Faster than bleach
  • 99.99%Pathogens killed
  • 100%Green & chemical-free
  • 0Residue left behind
How it works

Gear in. Fresh out.

  1. Load your gear

    Load your gear

Equipment goes into a sealed chamber, no disassembly, no chemicals.

  2. Ozone cycle runs

    Ozone cycle runs

Ozone fills every seam and cavity, oxidizing bacteria, viruses and odor.

  3. Reverts to oxygen

    Reverts to oxygen

The ozone naturally breaks back down to oxygen, leaving no residue.

  4. Fresh & ready

    Fresh & ready

Gear comes out sanitized, deodorized and ready to use.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is ozone?

Ozone (O₃) is a molecule of three oxygen atoms, a powerful natural oxidizer that destroys bacteria, viruses and odor, then breaks back down into ordinary oxygen.

Is ozone sanitizing safe?

Yes. Sanitizing happens inside a sealed chamber, and the ozone reverts to oxygen afterward, leaving no chemicals or residue on your gear.

How effective is it?

Ozone is a far more aggressive oxidizer than household cleaners and reaches every surface, seam and cavity of your gear.

Will it damage my equipment?

No. There is no soaking, agitation or high heat, ozone is gentle on gear while being tough on odor and germs.

Bacteria swab test results: a single Fresh Gear ozone cycle killed 94.7% to 100% of the bacteria on hockey gloves, skates and chest gear (independent test by GAP EnviroMicrobial Lab, London ON).
The proof

Tested, swabbed, verified.

We didn't just theorize. An independent lab swabbed gear before and after a Fresh Gear cycle and measured 94.7% to 100% of bacteria eliminated. That's the ozone process at work.
